Hermanus

Clovelly

A tight par 72 with a testing mix of interesting holes and elevated greens accompanied by beautiful views of Silvermine River and lakes. Natural water features and a wide variety of indigenous fauna and flora, notably the variety of trees lining the fairways. There’s every chance you’ll think you’ve taken a wrong turn when visiting Clovelly, even if the signage insists there’s a golf course in the vicinity: a small, suburban road beneath a mountain winds through homes that mask the view of the course. But just as you’re considering turning around, it unfolds before you, one of the most delightful courses the Cape has to offer.

Devonvale

The magnificent 18-hole Championship golf course needs little introduction, offering a regular challenge to both local and international golfers alike. The original layout, by accomphished designer Ken Elkin, who did a magnificent job with Devonvale, is in an excellent condition, continously undergoing exciting upgrades but remains a true Country Course – Fun to Play. Located just 5 minutes outside the picturesque Stellenbosch, Devonvale Golf and Wine Estate is surrounded by rolling vineyards and majestic mountains. Here you will find a true jewel nestled in the Bottelary Valley, in the heart of the Cape Winelands.

Pearl Valley

As the name implies, our Pearl Valley Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course truly bears the stamp of the world’s preeminent golf course designer. South Africa’s Top 100 Golf Courses, the definitive golf course ranking, placed the Pearl Valley Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course as the third best in the country. The ‘Golden Bear’ opened the course in 2003, commenting: “Surrounded by mountains this is one of the most spectacular settings in which I have designed a golf course.” In the world of golf it is simply not possible to receive a greater endorsement.

George

Fancourt Links

Garden Route
The Links is currently ranked as the number one golf course in the country by Top 100 Courses South Africa. It also ranks 28th in Golf Digest Internationals list of the world’s 100 greatest golf courses that compared 464 courses from 18 countries around the globe. The Links is the iconic golfing hallmark of the Fancourt estate. Golfing legend Gary Player described it as his greatest ever feat as a course designer. The Links has hosted some of the most prestigious tournaments in the world, including the Presidents Cup (2003), the SA Open (2005) and the 2012 Volvo Golf Champions European Tour. Featuring an undulating, windswept terrain and dune-style landscape, the course is the handiwork of golfing icon, Gary Player, course designer, Phil Jacobs and Fancourt’s owner, Dr Hasso Plattner.
